Temperature range up to 400°C
Dunlop Conveyor Belting’s Superfort multi-ply construction belts with Dunlop Deltahete heat resistant covers are well-proven, highly successful belts, specifically engineered to convey high-temperature abrasive materials under even the most demanding heavy-duty service conditions. Superfort Deltahete can withstand maximum continuous material temperatures as high as 200°C and extreme peak temperatures as high as 400°C.
Most significantly of all, it is able to withstand this kind of temperature over much more extended periods of time compared to its competitors. This is proven by ISO 4195 ‘accelerated ageing’ testing that measures the heat resistance properties of rubber conveyor belts by placing rubber samples in high-temperature ovens for a period of 7 days. At the end of the 7 days, the reduction in mechanical properties such as tensile strength, abrasion resistance, elongation etc are then measured. Deltahete consistently exceeds the highest requirements of Class 3. At Dunlop, we also carry out testing at a staggering 175°C. Deltahete is therefore effectively Class 4, although this category does not exist within the ISO 4195 classifications. Although exposure to heat usually causes a significant deterioration in wear resistance, ISO 4195 testing has proved that Dunlop Deltahete still retains its original (pre-test) resistance to abrasion.
Its unrivalled ability to withstand high temperatures, premature ageing and abrasive wear while at the same time protecting the inner carcass from the destructive forces of delamination really does put Superfort Deltahete in a class of its own.
Temperature range up to 180°C
As with its Deltahete counterpart, Superfort Betahete has a long-established and exemplary track record. Its highly resilient multi-ply construction carcass is superbly protected by Dunlop Betahete high-performance heat and wear-resistant rubber covers designed to handle materials at continuous temperatures up to 160°C and peak temperatures of up to 180°C. Betahete consistently exceeds the requirements demanded by ISO 4195 Class 2. Usually, rubber that is resistant to high temperatures has a lower resistance to wear but the Dunlop Betahete rubber covers are an exception to the rule, possessing an outstanding level of abrasion resistance that even exceeds the DIN X standard abrasion requirement applicable to purely abrasion-resistant belts. The combination of heat and wear resistance means that Superfort Betahete belts provide an operational lifetime that exceeds all expectations.
Additional information: As with all of our conveyor belts, Superfort Deltahete and Superfort Betahete are fully resistant to the damaging effects of ozone and ultraviolet light according to EN ISO 1431/1 procedure B test method. They are also anti‑static and conform to EN/ISO 20284 international standards and can therefore be used in ATEX classified areas and are fully compliant with REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemical substances) regulation EC 1907/2006.
