Conveyor belts for wood, paper & pulp industry
Conveyors play an important role in many of the different processes found within the wood, paper & pulp industry. These different processes and applications can place very different demands on the conveyor belt. For example, enormous damage can be caused by tree trunks as they are loaded onto the conveyor belt or by pieces of timber or other objects becoming trapped and penetrating the belt. Impact, ripping and the tearing can easily destroy even the thickest and heaviest belts in the blink of an eye. Another ‘belt destroyer’ are the oils and resins found in many types of wood. These have a very detrimental effect on the performance and life expectancy of conveyor belts. Over time, the oils and resins penetrate the rubber causing it to swell and distort, resulting in serious running problems. Fortunately at Dunlop we have a whole range of solutions to meet every possible requirement.
Belts for specific needs
At Dunlop we have a wide variety of special carcass constructions that are can handle impact, ripping and tearing better than other belt in the world. We also manufacture belts with rubber covers that not only have outstanding resistance to oils and resins but also possess unbeatable wear resistance and that are also resistant to the damaging effects of ozone and UV light. And in areas where fire resistant belts are needed then what better supplier can there be than Dunlop, the inventors and world leaders in fire resistant conveyor belting? To complete the range we also produce specially designed saw mill belts. For more detailed information then please take a look below:

Dunlop Superfort ‘long life’ multi-ply conveyor belts have a long history of outstanding reliability and durability.
In some applications, especially primary and secondary crushers, even the strongest and heaviest conventional belts can be ripped or torn by large lumps of heavy, sharp objects, either falling from a height or becoming trapped. In extreme cases, belts can be destroyed within a matter of weeks or months.
Trioflex has been designed in line with the modern MPC-trend (minimum ply concept) and can be used very successfully for medium up to the heaviest service conditions, adverse loading conditions and coarse materials.
Dunlop Ferroflex has a tension layer composed of longitudinal steel cords through which power transmission is effected.
Application areas There are two chevron height sizes to choose from – 16mm (low chevron)…
CARCASS CONSTRUCTION EP fabric plies (SUPERFORT or DUNLOFLEX), strong, low elongation. AVAILABILITY Rufftop is available…
Slider belting is most commonly used in the transportation of individual items and packages but is also used to carry a wide variety of materials.
The rubber used in these belts can be non-staining and has been formulated by Dunlop…
Dunloflex is designed for use with all types of bulk material transportation under light to medium-heavy service conditions in raw material, mining, stone, and earth handling and building industries.
Dunlop Multiprof is a multi-purpose profiled belt for inclined conveying that has been developed specifically for transporting packaged goods such as boxes, bags, and baggage as well as bulk materials including agricultural products, oily materials, woodchips and wet sand.
These can be as much as 50% higher efficiency compared to conventional conveyors. Pipe conveyors often provide the most efficient solution in locations where there are environmental, safety or space limitations and are used to convey a broad spectrum of materials in many different industries ranging from chemicals to power plants.
Dunlop Ultima premier grade rubber sheeting is specifically designed to provide outstanding durability across a wide range of industrial uses. Unlike almost all other industrial rubber sheeting, it is exclusively manufactured in our production facilities here in the Netherlands.
